We had a blast staying at Aunt Rita's house. Aunt Rita and Uncle Dave are wonderful! I wish we had taken some photos with them. Next time we see them we will for sure. We got up early so we could drive home in one day. We were missing Hotch so much!
We left Indiana and drove through Kentucky. It is an incredibly beautiful state! Alyssa did a pretty good job taken photos as I drove.
We stopped for lunch at Fazoli's in Frankfort, KY.
We kept on truckin' through the states. Next up was West Virginia. It feels like you are in that state forever. At least it is really beautiful!
We love the West Virginia State Capitol. It can be seen as soon as you near Charleston, WV. Need to go inside someday. Love that dome!
That's the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. They are so heavenly! Major highlight of West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.
We always love going through the mountain tunnels in WV and VA.
Virginia is one of our favorite states to drive through. The Virginia countryside is gorgeous! We never get sick of it. As soon as we crossed into Virginia we got a bunch of rain and fog. It was a little bit scary because at times I had almost no visibility at all.
Although we do not enjoy living in North Carolina we were so happy to be back home. We couldn't wait to see Hotch!
It was a long two and a half weeks of fun. We are so grateful that we were able to visit my friend, Desiree, and her lovely family, see family in Indiana, visit historical sites and spend so much quality time together. Can't wait to go on another big trip because we love to travel as a family!
