Christmas Eve 2012

No one was feeling very jolly over the holidays because the kids and I were desperate to move. We did have a lovely Sabbath on December 23rd. Afterward we took photos of the kids at the Triad Park.

Later that night the kids opened their traditional Christmas Eve present: pajamas. They were so anxious to open their presents and asked if they could please open them that night. We caved and it was a total blast!

These are some really excited kids!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Hotchkiss for all the gift cards!

Thanks Grandma Dene' and Fadder for the pjs.

Now for the presents from Hotch and I.

Delaney baby loved her new jewelry box full of her own jewelry.

Alyssa was thrilled to get her own purse and wallet along with quite a few different lip glosses. She's lovely!

Braxton was so stoked to get Haunted Lego sets.

Here's our cute babies in their new winter hats and scarves. It is really cold this winter so these will be super useful.

For their big ticket items Alyssa got a bunch of art supplies, Delaney got a Friends Lego set and Braxton got a Harry Potter Lego set. Love how Braxton is hugging his Harry Potter Lego box.

Hotch and I don't really do presents. We just buy each other books. I got Hotch the book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

The kids had a wonderful Christmas Eve opening their presents and they made out really well. We let them stay up until around 2am playing with their toys while we watched Christmas movies.

Delaney's 6th Birthday

Hooray Delaney turned 6!!!

We woke her up with our traditional waffles and candles.

For our sweet Delaney's 6th birthday we went to see Wreck-It Ralph. Everyone loved it! Best kid's movie in a long time!

Delaney has been really into vampires lately so she wanted "blood" red roses. She was so excited when she saw them.

After we went to the movie Wreck-it Ralph Delaney was so anxious to open her presents. We decided to go ahead and let her open them early.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Hotchkiss for the Walmart gift card!

Grandma Dene' and Fadder sent her a package with lots of layers to unwrap.

She was so excited that Grandma Dene' got her a box of Triscuits.

It was so sweet because she was satisfied with the Triscuits. We had to tell her to look inside the box.

Thanks Grandma Dene' and Fadder for the "lip", body spray and candy!

Delaney put the body spray on right away and let everyone smell it.

Alyssa and Braxton were sweet and decided to give her some of the their toys that Delaney has been in love with. Alyssa gave her all of her miniature horses and Braxton gave her his purple girl car.

Delaney is our little sweetheart! Hotch and I decided to get her some princess toys she has been wanting. Can you tell that this girl loves makeup and finger nail polish? Love her expression!

Delaney loved her presents.

Our family birthday cake tradition began a few years ago just our of necessity and our kids have kept it going. Braxton and Alyssa went with Hotch to get Delaney a cake. Brax found this one first. Isn't it cute!

Our beautiful Delaney looks so lovely in the candlelight!

How fun! The inside of the cake was Delaney's two favorite colors.

Happy 6th Birthday Delaney!
