Cafesjian's Carousel-Saint Paul, MN

Another thing to do at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is to ride on Cafesjian's Carousel ($1.50 per rider). It is a gorgeous carousel built in 1914 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company (later became Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters) with 69 hand-carved horses and 2 hand-carved chariots.

Waiting to take a ride!

There are 18 scenic paintings which were recreated by volunteers. Unfortunately, the originals were damaged in a fire back in 1939. Wish I had taken more photos of the different paintings. They were quite amazing!

Look at how gorgeous these hand-carved horses.

Handsome little man!

My kids are getting so big way too fast! Time sure flies by. I appreciate the fact that they are wonderful children that appease their mom by riding on carousels (even when they are 12 years old) and letting me take a million photos throughout the day. I am blessed to be their mom!

Looking at this photo just melts my heart! Having our children meet at last is really incredible and was worth every minute of our drive to MN!

Go visit the Cafesjian's Carousel with your kids or grandkids if you are ever in Saint Paul, MN. It is a real gem! We loved it.
