Art Car Museum - Houston, TX

After we visited the Houston Garden Center and admired all of the amazing roses we headed over to the Art Car Museum. When we travel I always look for fun free things to do. I came across a review of this museum online. It looked really unique and interesting so I decided we should go check it out.

The Art Car Museum displays "art cars" which are motor-driven vehicles that have been altered by the car artist. Every year in May Houston hosts an enormous Art Car Parade. (Here are the 2013 winners.) When we arrived we got our first glimpses of some cool art cars outside the entrance.

There was a very small gallery with some unusual art on exhibit.

When we entered the main gallery there were three beautiful "art cars" waiting to be admired. We really enjoyed checking them out!

Look at the details on this "art car".

The back of this vehicle was really interesting.

Every inch of this car was so interesting!

Here is another "art car" on display.

I loved the details on this "art car" the most!

Delaney found a scorpion.

This gentleman showed us the hydraulics of this "art car".

There was cool car art around the main gallery.

At the back of this small museum was another room with a small exhibit of modern art sculptures. We loved this ship!

Here is the final "art car" on display.

We had fun checking out this unique museum!
