Buffalo Burgers, The Chocolate Bar & Hruska's Kolaches - Texas

We spent the entire morning and some of the afternoon in Houston, Texas visiting the Houston Garden Center, the Art Car Museum and the Glenwood Cemetery. After visiting all those places we sure were hungry and I had some surprises up my sleeves. First stop: Lunch at Bubba's Texas Burger Shack

It is located in a shack under the Westpark Tollway in Houston, TX.

We were really excited to eat some buffalo burgers!

Bubba's Texas Burger Shack makes the most delicious buffalo burgers. This was the first time any of us had ever eaten buffalo meat. It was a serious hit! Best burger I have had in a long time! Had to drink Dr. Pepper too since Dr. Pepper was created in Waco, TX. When in Texas you do as Texans do.

We left Bubba's Texas Burger Shack happy and full of delicious food!

Second Stop: Dessert at The Chocolate Bar.

Alyssa's 13th Birthday was the next day and we were sad to be traveling on her birthday. Before we moved I looked for ways to try and make her birthday special even though we were on the road. The Chocolate Bar was the perfect surprise for my chocolate loving, sweet Alyssa.

The kids really loved the chocolate covered fruit!

We let the kids get a few treats and we had to try some different types of cheesecakes. Alyssa loved the interior since it was purple, her favorite color, and absolutely fabulous. She wants a bedroom painted just like it.

Delaney had her first loose tooth when we visited The Chocolate Bar.
These chocolate teeth would satisfy anyone's sweet tooth.

There were so many wonderful treats. Glad that Alyssa, our resident chocolate lover, was in heaven here. The kids wished they could try them all.

Alyssa loved being able to indulge in one of her favorites: Chocolate.

We had a two and a half hours drive from Houston to Austin where we would be spending the night. Third Stop: Kolaches from Hruska's

I read tons of reviews about the kolaches at Hruska's in Ellinger, TX. This was the perfect place to stop for a bathroom break and to grab a quick snack. Plus the kolaches were really yummy!

We enjoyed trying different things to eat as we drove through Houston and on into Austin. We were also anxious to celebrate Alyssa's 13th Birthday!
